PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR 2013: EMERALD!

I cannot tell you how THRILLED I am at this announcement! Do you chumps remember me telling you my favorite color is green during our Color Theory lesson? All shades. Green speaks to me. In the words of Pantone, they describe Emerald as being:

“Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty
that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”

It is such a RICH color. MMM. I could just eat it up. Roll around in it. And touch it inappropriately.

Move over Tangerine Tango, it’s about to get Oz up in this business! I can think of a few things I’d like to go Emerald City all over.

  Have you ever seen “Return to Oz” ?? Creepy as pho! A very different feel from Wizard of Oz. Actually, all things considered, that movie is creepy too. My parents have the original VHS where you see the “silhouette of the munchin hanging itself.” Probablly a prop falling… still creepy though!

    No, I haven’t seen it. I don’t know if I will! I’m a wimp when it comes to scary movies. I never noticed the shadow in the Wizard of Oz. I get sidetracked by bright colors easily, like a moth to flame.

      lol, there’s definitely many colors to be distracted by! It’s not really a scary movie, just weird. It’s actually a Disney Movie, based on Dorothy going back. It was made in the late 80′s.

        Perhaps I’ll see if it’s on Netflix tonight! It really is a lovely color. You could go serene or bold with it, which I can’t say for tangerine hues. It’s so versatile!

I think it was Benjamin Moore that just said their color for 2013 is mint…. I think things are going to get reallllll green in 2013. probably because it rhymes.
