Hello, Your Name Is?

hello my name is kenz

*The “Money-Bagz part was added by Karl.  And by Money-Bagz he means:  Cheap A-Mama.

Welcome to all my new friends who have been reading Interiors by Kenz.  I feel like we don’t get enough time to hang out.  Usually you let me do all the talking… I have a habit of rambling.

But I would love to get to know you all better!  The truth is, you’re reading this because you have a love for DIY as much as I do.  That’s already one in the bucket regarding how well we will get along.

Tell me about you!  Tell me whatever you’d like.

Or you can answer some of these questions for me:
Where are you from?
What’s your tool of choice?
What’s your weirdest nickname?
What’s a bucket list item you’ve already completed?
What’s your favorite move?
Do you have a blog?  (Make sure to leave me the link!)

I’ll start:
-I’m from Salt Lake City.  Born & raised, forever reppin’ the 801.
-It’s a tie between miter saw & paintbrush
-Due to PCOS & my Greek heritage, I have insanely oily skin.  As a result I have to use an over-priced prescription skin cream called Benzaclin… Nickname: Kenzabenzaclin.
-I have been skydiving twice.  Hope to go a third time after I lose some weight.
-My favorite movie is Steele Magnolias (The white version).  I am fully prepared to be judged for my choice of favorite film.
-I have a 2nd blog.  I don’t expect people to follow it.  It’s about my life outside of DIY.  I actually get really bad blog stage-fright for GMM.

I blog because I have a passion for DIY and for making friends who also enjoy DIY.  I love the community.  Earlier this week Aaron told me:  “Most DIY bloggers change paint colors.  You change hearts.”  I don’t know if I change hearts, but I sure do like making friends.  So thank you for providing me that opportunity.

Now it’s your turn!  I can’t wait to learn more about you, my creepy Internet friends.

xoxo

Oh hai. I DO think it’s time we got to know each other a little better, I mean why must we creep in the shadows?

    - I grew up about 5 minutes outside of boston, and live about an hour outside of it now.

-I somehow ended up with the nickname S*Rockstar, though I can’t sing or play any instruments.

-My favorite movie is Con-Air and I’m not even ashamed of it.

-You already know my regular blog, but I’ve got a tumblr. too for extra nerdom: http://srockstar.tumblr.com/

Ugh, I’m such a creeper… commenting on this two years after it’s been posted. Anyway, now that I’ve made myself known I may as well introduce myself.

I grew up on a farm near a tiny town in MN. Now I live in a different tiny MN town so I can teach 5th and 6th graders. Tool of choice= permanent marker (I’m renting an apartment right now, so I haven’t delved very deep into the world of DIY… yet). A few years ago, my brother dubbed me “McTeacher” and it stuck. I actually have a poster of my Bucketlist hanging in my kitchen so I can cross them off as I do them. My current favorite crossed-off item is “go to the movies by myself” (I saw “Wreck-It Ralph”; it was awesome). Not gonna lie: I’m a sucker for chick-flicks and animated movies. Right now, my favorite movie is Austenland. I do have a blog. It pretty much focuses on my adventures in the classroom (and a way for my parents to check up on me without looking like they are). Here’s the link: http://emyrose8.blogspot.com/
